The last woman wearing this typical Dutch hat passed away in 2016. The model has Indian roots but resides in the Netherlands. She wears festive Indian jewelry and a typical Indian sari used for special occasions.
Disclaimer: The golden squared irons are socalled chokes. King Louis Napoleon issued a decree in 1809: women can wear a golden square on the left and unmarried girls at the right. Only breastfeeding women were allowed to carry two.
